I have been meaning to write about the wonder of nurses and the importance of the NHS (please remember to pay your taxes people!!) But have returned to work, so nose to the grindstone again. This excellent piece appears in today’s Guardian, it says a lot of what I would like to say and written and more coherently than I could ever manage.
Mike Marqusee suffers from a cancer similar to Ava-Jane’s and is an all-round top guy – leftie, Dylanologist and cricket fan, what more could you ask of a person? To quote Rooster Cockburn: he “reminds me of me”.
